Swagbucks is basically a search engine like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. We stopped using the other search engines for about 90% of searches we do. Swagbucks is just as good as the prementioned engines, but about 5-10% of the time, we have to use Google, etc. Swagbucks rewards you for searches you place with their search engine. You won’t get swagbucks everytime you place a search, but will be rewarded anywhere from 5-50 swagbucks the more you search.
We “hold” our swagbucks and cash them out once we hit a required number. 450 SB’s will snag you a $5 Amazon GC! You can also earn other GC’s such as Starbucks, Target, etc. Amazon just happens to be our favorite because it makes Christmas presents very easy to buy!! Basically, you get free amazon just for searching = free Christmas gifts (or other occassion).
How do you get swagbucks?
1. Use their search engine (This is located at the top of Swagbucks home page)
2. Download their tool bar (It makes it easier for you to remember to search with Swagbucks).
- If you choose to download the Swagbucks toolbar, you’ll find an occasional message from The Swag Guy. It will be under the “From TSG” section in the toolbar, and it will look like this.
Click the icon as soon as you see a new message. (You’ll know there’s a message if the zero changes to another number.) If you catch it in time, you’ll find a code for bonus Swagbucks. You simply copy the code, head to the Swagbucks website, and enter the code to claim your Swagbucks prize.
3. Subscribe to their blog (You will never get spammed. They release alot of swag codes on their blogs).
4. Install their widget on your website, blog, or social network (They release alot of swag codes on the widget)

- You can use it to search, go to their blog, etc. The 4th option over is where you can find a swagcode if thats where they say it is located. Just click on “swag code,” then it will say you “see if there is a swag code,” click on it and the code will be there. Just copy and paste it into the box on the home page. (This is shown below)
5. Fridays are Mega Swagbucks Days! That means that instead of earning 7 Swagbucks for a search, you might earn 40 or 100. So plan to do a lot of your searching on Fridays!
6. There is a “Specials Offers” tab at the top of the home page. You can take surveys, take the daily poll (you get 1 SB for taking it), etc.
7. The Swag guy (the man who owns SB) and TSGal release free codes everyday. You have to find them and they do expire.
8. Follow Swagbucks on FB (they will give clues where you can find the free codes they release on a daily basis)
9. Once you sign up, you will get a referral link which you can give to family & friends, post on your blog, or post on FB & Twitter. You receive 10 SB for every referral.
10. You will automatically start out with 30 SB’s when you register.
Where do you enter your swagcode?
On your home page, on the right hand side, you will see this:
~~Enter your swagcode there! The Swag codes you earn while you search are automatically added to your totals. This spot is for the codes you find when they release them.
